Absolutely worth it and a must-do in Bulgaria The highlight of our Bulgaria trip! We were worried about whether the experience would be worth it considering it is about 3h30 drive from Sofia (so 7h both ways), but it was absolutely incredible. The rocks/fortress are incredible but the best part is the view at the top of them, simply breathtaking! Pictures don't do it justice at all. Our driver and guide Ventsislav was so great and accommodating, as well as knowledgeable. He knew a lot about the rocks, fortress and the good spots for pictures or interesting facts. The experience also felt very private in a way as you share it with a group of 5-7 people, so that's an added bonus. We ended up visiting the Magura cave as the Venetsa Cave was closed, and it was very impressive and enjoyable. Absolutely no negatives about the day overall and well worth the time and money. 10/10, absolutely recommend and a must-do!

Relaxing informative tour I was very surprised to find I was the only on this tour. Upon meeting Ventsislav for the first time, I felt completely at ease with him. He gave just the right amount of information and was very good company. He is also very mindful with his help as I am disabled. Multi Travel Bulgaria provides an excellent traveller experience. Thank you Vent Regards Jess

Nice view of the entire valley This is amongst one of the famous attractions in Bulgaria The old fortress is covered with cobblestones walk paths There are two major steel-plated stairways to climb up to the top(which is approximately 30 steps or so) but the gradient is quite steep which is not suitable for visitors with mobility problems The rock formation is quite interesting as it gives you a different perspective when the sun comes out and also depends on the different times of the day. It is quite picturesque Upon reaching the top(approximately 20 minutes of climbing you will have a birds-eye view of the entire valley

Wonderful day! I couldn’t be more happy about this trip. Got to enjoy a little exercise at the fortress, lovely architecture at the monastery, and some history, shopping and eating in Plovdiv. All with such a friendly, personable and accommodating guide. So glad I went on this tour!

Great tour guide We went with Ventsislav, who by far made this trip memorable showing us some of the greatest view places. He was very chilled out and the day ran very smoothly. Personally think a small group like this is much better to get the most from the trip.

Did 2 tours with Ventsislav — BEST EVER He has a fantastic Mercedes shuttle van — super comfy and awesome. He himself has a spectacular disposition just about as kind, knowledgeable and pleasant to be around as it gets. I did Belogradchik and Rila full day tours. Check out my reviews for those for more details! Will absolutely exclusively use Ventsislav as a tour provider whenever I’m in Bulgaria in the future, and would advise people travel to Bulgaria just to get a tour with him!!!!!!

Highlight of our trip to Bulgaria! This was the second day in a row my friends and i spent with Ventsislav — we enjoyed our trip to Belogradchik with him so much that we canceled our planned tour of Rila and booked a private one with him (thanks again for accommodating that)! This day was seriously something else. Just about as much fun as possible. Worth noting, this is a physically demanding hike! Primarily in that it has lots of stairs/steep uphill, and then on the descent you’ve got lots of steep downhill. Ventsislav is super happy to go at whatever speed you want, and to take as many breaks as you’d like. We saw people of all ages and fitness levels able to reach the top, and there are tons of views worth stopping at along the way. That being said, wear something athletic including good running shoes, or if you have them, hiking boots. I went in my running shoes and was totally fine, but the primary reason I’d suggest hiking boots is because there are many areas where you need to walk on sort of loose rocks so a little ankle support can’t hurt. Also bring a hat for the sun and a light sweater for misty wind at the top (we went in August). * also worth noting, Ventsislav carries an extra set of walking poles so if someone is worried about instability, definitely ask him ahead of time about borrowing those 🙂 The monetary itself was spectacular. As with everything, Ventsislav had tons of cool information to share with us and was happy to answer any and all questions. He’s an extremely experienced, kind, and friendly tour guide, and has a great sense of humor and disposition. 11/10! Thanks again!
