First stop in our journey will be Rila monastery. It is part of Unesco World Heritage and is the first and most important monastery in Bulgaria. After lunch will head up to one of the oldest towns in the Europe. In Plovdiv you will have the option to visit the Roman theater and some of the traditional Bulgarian houses from the Revival period.
On our way to the capital of the Second Bulgarian kingdom Veliko Tarnovo we will stop at the symbol of the liberation of Bulgaria – Shipka monument. At the open air ethnographic museum of Etara we will meet craftsmen who will show us traditional pottery, wood carving, icon painting, sweets and mamy more.
On the last day we will visit Krushuna waterfalls, popular with its green-blue waters and Devetashka cave with its long history since the prehistoric people through the communist period, when it was a military base, till the modern time when it was used for filming the movie Expendables.
